RRC attended two regattas on July 9 and 10: Capital Sprints and Occoquan Memorial Sprints. All races were 1000m, and our team competed in the 1x, 2x, and 4x events. We also had a composite boat with Carolina Masters Rowing for the Women’s Masters 8+ event! Former coach and club member, Emily Cleveland, lives near Occoquan now and was able to join us both days!
We had a great time despite some rain and a few waterlogged hazards on Saturday, and we are all now pros at derigging and rigging our boats and loading and unloading the trailer!
